Lesley loves creating energetic and uplifting work with movement and strength, often in vibrant colour, she is particularly interested in light, texture, wide open spaces and natural forms. She enjoys a wide variety of music and has a deep respect for the diversity of cultures and a belief in the enduring power of the human spirit

Lesley’s approach is entirely intuitive and emotional and always accompanied by music, which in turn feeds her creativity. The artwork evolves from the first mark she puts down, so each piece is a leap into the unknown where a random outline, shape or fragment of texture will determine how the work will progress, right to the end.

It is an anxious but exciting and rewarding journey, and always full of surprises.
